Nicola Havenhand BSc (Hons), MHPC, MCSP

Nicola qualified in 1999 from the University of Manchester. Since then, she has gained over 25 years of extensive experience in the field of neurological physiotherapy. In the primary setting she worked in the hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation settings. She has also held the role of Clinical Specialist in stroke at the Royal Hallamshire. Nicola also has many years of experience working in community settings both in residential units and within client’s homes. 

Nicola enjoys the challenge of working with complex clients who are presenting with polytrauma and acquired brain injury. She has gained lots of experience working with case managers to build bespoke packages of physiotherapy for her clients with complex and challenging neurological presentations. She enjoys working within the MDT to deliver intensive, responsive packages of rehabilitation. 

Nicola is strongly committed to client-centred care and believes that clients should be offered empathetic, flexible and dynamic therapy.  She believes that clients should feel empowered to play a vital role in the decision-making process during their rehabilitation journey. 

Outside work Nicola enjoys travelling, attending the gym, playing netball and dancing.
